Varadero is a reef that has survived more than 500 years of human pressure. With your participation, you contribute to the management and research that seeks to protect this surviving heroic reef in the area.

Providencia Reef Check
Come and monitor the health of Colombia´s largest and healthiest coral reef. Also, you had the opportunity and privilege to witness sharks and turtles, an indicator that Providence’s coral reefs are still healthy.
Providencia Reef Repair
Join us this 22 March 2021 on our efforts to restore Providencia´s coral reefs. After completing the program, you will understand when active reef restoration is required; describe how we are trying to bring coral reefs back to life; be able to stock, maintain and monitor corals in underwater nurseries; be able to outplant nursery-grown corals with cement at restoration sites.
San Andrés Reef Check
This is our largest participatory coral reef monitoring expedition, an intense educational experience in citizen science to support the actions taken by the locals to protect and restore coral reefs. The warm, calm and colorful waters of San Andrés are the right environment to become a citizen scientist. If you are already a Reef Check EcoDiver, the San Andrés Reef Check is your opportunity to put into practice your knowledge and skills for monitoring coral health.

You will upgrade your Meaningful Diving training to Reef Repair Diver. Santa Marta Reef Check
Our very first and largest Reef Check expedition so far, and first coral reefs surveyed by our Reef Check EcoDivers. It is still an intense educational experience in citizen science to increase the number of qualified people to collect information on the condition of Colombia´s coral reefs. The diversity of habitats in the Santa Marta, Taganga and the Tayrona National Park areas is a great opportunity to become a coral reef citizen scientist.
